Kirk Putnum is the pride of the Valley and a serious surf historian. You should see the stuff packed into his garage. In the 70s he helped evolve the displacement hull surfboard along with Greg Liddle and Steve Krajewski which is the board of choice for every Hipster/ Surfer (and not the other way around) on the coast. On this episode we head out to the heart of the San Fernando Valley to check out Kirk's infamous garage, then pack it into Big Johnny Goss's (Kirks body guard) van and head through the canyon to Kirk's old stomping ground Malibu (which he hasn't surfed in years). Then swing by LA Paz for a couple post sesh Margis.

Scott is now best know as playing Danno on “Hawaii Five-O” and Scott Lavin on "Entourage" but is a life long skater and surfer. He shreds. He's also an accomplished photographer, writer, and director. In the 90's he was in a hip hop group called the Whouliganz that toured with Cypress Hill. How much more LA can you get?
